Celebrities like Miley Cyrus seriously piss me off. Not because everyone says she is a slut and has no talent (not saying that either of those are not true, but not the main reason why I dislike them), but because they are utterly ungrateful and juvenile.
Miley Cyrus does obviously inappropriate things. And I don’t mean inappropriate in regards to her age, inappropriate in regards to her career. She has made a living and should be eternally grateful to the Disney Channel. And when things happen like she gets caught smoking pot, grinding and dancing all up on guys, and the list goes on, it’s just not okay. People make excuses for her like “oh she isn’t perfect” and “normal girls her age do those exact same things.” Well 1. she isn’t a normal girl, and 2. she decided to take on the career she has chosen and by doing so she has taken on responsibilities that most girls her age are not obligated to fulfill. If she wanted to pull things like that and make up bull shit excuses, she should have passed up the opportunity of getting rich and famous and being a role model to millions of little girls. Then she would have every right to do what “normal” girls her age do. She should appreciate the amazing opportunity she has been given and deal with what that opportunity comes with like being more careful about your actions and the things you say. It just annoys me that she and others make excuses for her behavior when there is no excuse for how she acts. She should grow up, because people would kill for the life she has been blessed with and would be more than willing to oblige with what kinds of rules and guidelines that kind of life comes with.
People like Emma Watson who say things like “Harry Potter took away my chance to be a normal girl.” REALLY?! I’m pretty sure there is not one single “normal girl” who would not kill to have experienced what you have. So stfu and be grateful and appreciative and stop whining. Because let me tell you, a lot of girls wish that they could trade up being normal for the opportunities you’ve been able to have.
